Wollemi is an iOS app for browsing self-hosted Gitea and Forgejo servers from your phone: repositories, files, commit history, diffs, issues and pull requests. It connects straight to your own server with a personal access token. There is no account to create and no service in the middle.
It is named after the Wollemi pine, which managed to self-host in a canyon outside Sydney for millions of years before anyone found it.
Requirements
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 17 or later
- A Gitea 1.22 or later, or current Forgejo, server you can reach from your device
- A personal access token from that server
Instances on a non-standard port, behind a subpath, or with a self-signed certificate are all supported. A self-signed certificate is pinned the first time you accept it, and Wollemi warns you if it ever changes.

Privacy
Wollemi collects no data. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no server of ours for anything to be sent to. Your access token is kept in the iOS Keychain and is sent only to the server address you type in. Signing out removes the token, the server address and any certificates you have trusted, and clears the cache.
